How Does Dental Bonding Work?

Dental Bonding is easy, fast and very affordable. Your tooth is prepared for the procedure by lightly etching the surface and applying a bonding liquid. Once the liquid sets, a natural tooth colored plastic resin is applied and sculpted into the desired shape by your specialist. Once set, the resin is trimmed, smoothed, and polished for a natural appearance.

The bonding procedure can often be completed in a single visit to our Vancouver clinic. When complete, it will significantly improve the appearance of your tooth (or teeth).

How Long Does Dental Bonding Last?

Bonding uses a plastic resin, which is not as strong as your natural tooth enamel. Therefore, it is more likely to stain, chip, or break than natural teeth. That being said, when using quality materials (as found at our clinic), bonding can last anywhere from three to five years before they need repair. It can be an effective means to restoring your damaged teeth.
